So my life has been a little hectic… due to wedding planning, job searching, trying to be a brave writer, and reading like a mad woman.
First off, I finished The Mortal Instruments…. It was so good! I loved it! At the same time I wanted to cry since it was ending… I was happy all in all with how the series ended. I want to get my hands on The Infernal Devices now because I think, not one hundred percent sure, that there was some references by Magnus that hinted at that connected the two series. For those of you who read it, what did you think? Did City of Heavenly Fire meet your expectations or fall short? I would give the whole series all in all 4.5 stars!
Secondly, I read The Maze Runner… HOLY WOW! It was so good! I read it this month for my book club that a friend and I started up in the area! If you’re interested though we are open to discussions online! We have a Facebook group and a Goodreads group. Back to The Maze Runner, this book was a nice break away from the books that are heavily influenced by romance (Which I love a good romance). I feel like people who loved books like Lord of the Flies and The Hunger Games would really enjoy The Maze Runner. This book also gets 4.5 stars!
Currently I am reading and devouring The Murder Complex by Lindsay Cummings (WHO I GET TO MEET NEXT WEEK! Also I get to meet Chris Colfer too!) I am loving this book so much! I’ll do a full review on Monday!
Writing wise, I didn’t meet my June word count goal but I’m going to try to meet my goal this month… I feel that I sit down and get all amped up to write and I know how I want the scene to play out but I get stage fright and start googling random stuff like “where can I buy a goat?” and “How to bathe a cat”

For once in forever St. Louis is actually drawing in more and more YA authors so I’m pretty excited!!! So far The Murder Complex is awesome, and I’m about 3/4 of the way through it!
