For those of you who know me, you all know I love Sawyer! She is a kick butt NA (new adult) author! she also has a YA novel out there that should have a sequel sometime soon (hint hint wink win Sawyer! haha) I HIGHLY recommend any of her books! Seriously go buy them now! So anyway Sawyer has a series called the Last Call series which is in the NA genre… The first one being On The Rocks… which I absolutely loved and hope you go check it out if you haven’t already! The second book is Make it a Double which is about Hunter’s (main character of OTR) brother Brody and one of Gabby’s(other main character of OTR) close friends Alyssa… oh what a great name… gives a dazzling grin… Anyway you should hop on over to Goodreads and add it to your to read list which I will add a link at the bottom of the post that will take you straight there! If you don’t have a good reads… well get one, its amazing and will change your life forever… FOREVERRRR. (pinkie pie fans…? anyone???)

This smoking hot book is set to release on 4/21/14 (HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!) Mark your calendars people! If I know anything about Sawyer Bennett books is that they’re always amazing and sizzling hot! You won’t want to miss out on this! On to the synopsis of  Make it a Double (straight from Sawyer’s FB page)

** SYNOPSIS **
Brody Markham has endured a nightmare, spending the last five years in prison and losing everything that was dear to him. Now he’s back home, trying to survive in a world he doesn’t recognize anymore. While his family and friends desperately try to reach through to him, he shelters himself further and further away from their love.

Alyssa Myers has worked her entire life to distance herself from the luxurious and privileged lifestyle in which she was raised. Running her non-profit agency, The Haven, she is content to spend her days helping abused animals find sanctuary, which fulfills her in a way that money just can’t buy.

Maybe it’s that she recognizes in Brody some of the same characteristics she sees in her homeless wards, but Alyssa is powerless to stop her personal quest to make Brody whole again.

    1. I like the way she writes. I also beta read for her 😀 We met over twitter and found out we both had a passion for sports especially hockey. I like that she is brave with her novels and isn’t afraid of it getting steamy but she always throws some humor in them that actually has made me laugh out loud. She’s also southern which always makes me smile cause it reminds me of my family in Texas. I usually like one series of an author and not another but I literally love every book of hers I’ve read!

      1. That’s awesome. I’ve always enjoyed authors who aren’t afraid to push the envelope when it comes to writing. Oh, and you would like her because she likes hockey. 😛

      2. I found out she liked hockey because in the Off Series the first book Off Sides was about a hockey player and she knew I would love it when I beta read it.

      3. Awesome. Well, it’s phenomenal that you have a connection with this author. I can’t say I know too many people who know published authors, especially ones that love hockey as much as they do!
