#TCO3Trilogy Blog Tour!

HI GUYS! So since becoming a mama it’s definitely easier to write a blog post than to film and edit a video SO that’s what I’m going to be trying to do.

SO FOR TODAY! I have a book spotlight for The Chronicle of the Three Trilogy by Tabitha Caplinger! I have the pleasure of calling Tabitha my friend and I absolutely adore her. I was so excited I got to help out for this blog tour!

I’m also lucky enough to have read the full trilogy prior to the release of the third book, The Chronicle of the Three: Eden Sword, which releases May 1st of this year!

Demons are real even if you can’t see them. But what if you could?
Zoe thought the loss of her parents would be the most difficult thing she’d ever have to endure. When she began seeing things she couldn’t explain in her new home of Torchcreek, Virginia, she was sure the grief was driving her mad. Instead Zoe discovers she is part of an ancient bloodline, one destined to defeat the powers of darkness from condemning the world. But Zoe, the daughter of the three, isn’t just another descendant–she’s the key to humanity’s salvation.

These books are SUPER fast reads and have such a realistic feel to them. If you’re a fan of Supernatural, Buffy, & Gilmore Girls… then this is the book trilogy for you.

Coming up on April 28th is the #TCO3FlashFix Readathon to catch up on the first two books before the release of Eden Sword! Make sure you follow Tabitha on Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram for all the fun. I’ll link all her social media at the end of the post. I may even be going live with her as a pump up session before the readathon!#TCO3FlashFix12 hour readathon

Where in the world did I go?

Hey guys!

VERY LONG TIME since I last posted on this blog. It’ll probably be a long time before I do again. Why? you ask… So I got really involved in Booktube. I have almost 2K subscribers and met some of the most amazing people ever including my two best friends.

I’ve slowed down on that quite a bit as well though. I got married last year in June and ended up working in a library around January. My life has been super busy and full of excitement. If you want to catch up with me feel free to watch any and all of my videos on YouTube.

Anyway, I came back to the world of blogging, again you may ask why… Well I’m 8 months pregnant and doing videos regularly has become quite the challenge. I started doing mommy vlogs and sharing my passion for all that on my channel. However, it’s getting hard to have the energy to not just film but to sit and edit a video. So I started a new blog – Musketeer Mom. The mom part of the name is pretty obvious but the musketeer part is because of course I couldn’t just name my child a typical name… it had to come from a book. That book being The Three Musketeers and my sons (OH YEAH, I’m having a boy lol!) name being Dartagnan.

I figured if any of you still followed this blog and were wondering where in the cosmos I went and what I’m up to now, I’d let you know! haha

I hope you come on over to Musketeer Mom and check out some of my posts! I may try and get more active on this blog as well.

Much love!

Wow so I haven’t blogged in a while! However, I have such exciting news and I had to share!

1.  I have reached over 100 subscribers on YouTube!!! WOOOOO!

2. I got approved to be a book depository affiliate! So if you guys want free shipping and reasonably priced books use this link to buy books! Help me help you 😉

I should have a new video going up today so make sure you check out my channel! I’m doing a giveaway that ends soon! Make sure you check it out!

The information for the giveaway is in the video so make sure you check it out on YouTube!

A lot of you helped me get started, so thanks for everything!

Happy reading,

Happy Blogiversary!

So my blog is officially one!!! It’s interesting to me that the reason I started this blog was because I was going through a rough time in my life. I had just dropped out of nursing school because I was having health problems, my Aunt Brenda had been diagnosed with breast cancer, my grandmother had passed, and my fiance’s great-grandmother passed. All within the span of a month. It was a lot to take in and I didn’t give myself time to grieve. I realized the importance of being able to mourn the loss of someone you love.

Monday morning I woke up to a text message from my mom saying my Aunt Brenda had passed. Earlier this month my mom got a call saying that Brenda had gone to the doctor and they told her she had Leptomeningeal Carcinomatosis. Basically, her cancer had spread through her spinal fluid to her brain. They gave her two weeks to two months to live. The last few days have been rough, but that’s not the reason I’m posting this. It’s just interesting to see that literally a year ago I was going through the same thing.

On the happier side of things, I finally got my video done. I know it’s two weeks late. But I’m sure you can see how crazy things have been lately. Here it is! It’s all about the struggles of a female gamer!

Thanks guys for the year of support! It seriously means the world to me! I hope you keep reading my blog and watching my videos! If you ever have any suggestions of video’s you would like to see, feel free to let me know!

Happy Reading & Gaming,

ARC of The Crimson Gate!

So I recently had the privilege of reading an advanced copy of The Crimson Gate by Whitney Miller! I met her last year at one of the signings I went to and really adored her. I was excited to finally read her book The Violet Hour and it’s sequel The Crimson Gate. I decided to do a video review of both and I posted it this past Saturday! If you haven’t had the chance to watch it, do it! I was really excited that the author loved it so much and has been sharing it like crazy on twitter!

If you haven’t already, follow me on twitter! Alyjoshaver

ALSO! I had one of my really good friends make me an intro to my videos! YOU HAVE TO SEE IT! I adore it! 🙂

February Reads

Picture from Mishfish13

So February is coming to an end and I figured I would recap my reads from this month! I read a total of 7 books this month which is pretty good. Especially since I started a new job this month and I’m a full time student. I am only one book behind on my Goodreads challenge which is confusing because at 1am this morning I was on track…? Anyway here is what I read this month!

1. Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

2. Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas

3. Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas

4. The Violet Hour by Whitney Miller

5. The Crimson Gate by Whitney Miller

6. The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black

7. Switched by Amanda Hocking

I was really pleased with all my book choices this month! I’m continuing the Trylle Trilogy by Amanda Hocking right now and then I plan on finishing the Maze Runner books after. Then I have a 14 book series called The Wheel of Time that a friend loaned me that I plan on trucking through.

What about you guys? How was your February reading?

Happy Reading,

Guest post!

So I was asked by a fellow blogger and friend, John over at Write me a book, John! Go check his blog out! He post about all things book related and shares his VERY STRONG opinions. He talks about some really interesting topics though!

Enough about John… I wrote a guest post on why I love YA books. As you all know, I read pretty much only YA. If you want to read the post then click HERE!

Go like it and if you’re not following John then do so! Also read the rest of the guest posts this week! There’s already been two very interesting posts and some more to come!

Happy Reading!

P.S. Video review of The Violet Hour and The Crimson Gate by Whitney Miller will be up soon!

Changing the name of this blog?

So I’m contemplating changing the name of this blog! Since I’ve started up this whole YouTube thing, I’ve been thinking about changing it to my channel name which is The Little Librarian. Most my posts these days are of my videos anyway. But I’m not really sure if I wanna forego ilikebookstoomuch…

So I’m turning this to you guys! Should I change my blog name to The Little Librarian? or keep ilikebookstoomuch?

Reading update: I just finished the third book in the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas. I’m now reading The Violet Hour by Whitney Miller. I’m only a few chapters in but it’s really good so far and has similar elements of Mara Dyer and The Murder Complex but in Japan. I’ll be doing a video about this book and the second book which is called The Crimson Gate which comes out next month!

Also if you haven’t checked it out yet here is the link to my YouTube Channel! Feel free to share and subscribe!

Happy Reading,
